Phone System
TRLabs has a Nortel Business Communication Manager (BCM) Voice-over-IP telephony system. VoIP telephony gives us many new features such as Unified Messaging (ability to read your Voice messages from your email client), software phone clients (Nortel i2050 softphone) which allows you to use your phone from anywhere as long as you are on the Internet.
We have three primary types of terminals for the VoIP: Nortel i2002, Nortel i2004, and the softphone Nortel i2050. Student cubicles are equipped with the have Nortel i2002 phones.

Checking your voicemail remotely
- Dial your phone number (488-56xx)
- Wait for your outgoing message to play
- At the end of the message, press the star key twice (**)
- The system will ask for your mailbox number (56xx) and password; enter them followed by the pound (#) key
- Proceed to check your voicemail
